Home Page Makeover…and a Request for Help!

March 3, 2020 by Lynne Hoeksema 10 Comments

Almost 15 months ago, the ministry site was launched, cementing the idea that God really was going to work through me in this whole “be a blessing” endeavor.

At that time, I had started writing weekly blog posts from that site and was working on getting a demo video put together for my presentation.

Fast forward to today and God has graciously grown this ministry to include an expanding speaking ministry along with my recently published book, Cultivating Compassion.

I knew a website homepage was supposed to highlight the most important area of your business/ministry, but I couldn’t honestly choose one “child” over another! And thus began the process of streamlining and cleaning up the ministry homepage.

Here’s the new look!  What do you think?  Many thanks to Britney Wilson, my ultra-talented graphic designer and friend.  And to Tom Krueger, my website guru, who has unending patience with me!

Now visitors to the site will have four convenient icons to click on which will send them to one of the following pages:

  1. Speaking
  2. My Book
  3. Blog
  4. Contact Me

From the very first meeting with the ministry board, I told them that the goal was the message.  I didn’t know (or really care) what the avenue for that would be.  And now many months later, those avenues have expanded from the weekly blog posts to include numerous presentations, radio and TV interviews, a solid weekly following of my blog post and hundreds of people who have either downloaded my Ebook or purchased the print version.

Add to that the many one-on-one conversations I’ve had with those either suffering through a loss or looking for specific advice on how to help a grieving friend.  I’d say it’s literally mind-blowing but that would mean my brain has exploded!  Suffice it to say, I’m in awe of all that’s transpired.  I can’t wait to see what the future holds.

So now… please forgive me as I do a little shameless self-promotion.  (Although this IS still God’s ministry!)

Keeping in mind that the message is the goal, if you feel a desire to partner with me in getting this message out to even more people, here’s how you can help:

  1. Speaking – Know any groups who need a speaker or workshop leader on this topic?  I can tweak it to meet anyone’s requirements.  Church groups (of any age), care facilities, even corporate settings.  I can’t think of anyone who can’t benefit from the principals I share.  Here’s the speaking page.
  2. My Book – If you haven’t had a chance to download or purchase a copy, I’d love for you to do so!  And if you think of others who would find this helpful, I’d be grateful if you’d refer them as well.  Here’s the book page, which also includes the link to Amazon.
  3. Blog – Weekly advice that you can put into practice immediately.  You can sign up with the green button on the home page or on the blog page.  And again, who do you know that would appreciate a couple of minutes of helpful instruction every week?  We NEVER know when someone we love will be dealt a tragic blow.  This can help!   I’d be happy to add anyone’s email to the distribution list if that would be easier.

End of advertisement!   Thanks again for the support and encouragement so many of you have given me since Dale’s death, and the birth of this ministry.  I wish there was a better version of the word “grateful.”  Let’s say I’m UBER grateful!

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

    This I love!
God has given you a sad story to share with us and has developed you into more than any of us thought possible.
Hang in there through the sadness, the grieving days and the times that just simply suck,…God isn’t finished with you yet my friend. You are a de – light to everyone you come in contact with. 💞
